Chevy Chase.
NeedleChasers of Chevy Chase. We currently have about 60 members, drawn primarily from Washington DC and Montgomery County MD, and enthusiastically welcome new and experienced quilters! For an annual fee of $25 (waived for members 80 and above), members can attend meetings and bees, receive our monthly newsletter, borrow from our library of approximately 100 quilting books and videos, and receive discounts on quilting supplies at local quilt stores. We meet from September through June on the second Wednesday of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Chevy Chase DC Branch Library, 5625 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington DC 20015. Our meetings usually feature a guest lecturer, demonstrations, show-and-tell, and other activities for both the traditional and contemporary quilter. We also hold quilting bees each month and sponsor a biennial quilt show where members can display their projects. We’re proud of our active support of various charities through quilting, including a monthly bee devoted entirely to making quilts for donation. For more information about our activities, please visit our web site or contact us at contactus@needlechasers.org
