    The Allatoona Quilt Guild meets at 10 a.m on the second Tuesday of every month at The Roberts School Community Center, 4681 School St., in downtown Acworth. Membership is open to anyone interested in quilting, be it a novice or expert quilter. in addition, the guild offers a stitch-in on the other Tuesdays of the month at 9:30 a.m. at the community center.   • Alpharetta
    Chattahoochee Evening Stars. We have about 80 members who pay $15/year in dues. We have social time from 6:30-7 and our meeting from 7-9 on the first Monday of the month at Alpharetta North Park/Senior Center on Cogburn Road. We have a block of the month swap, guild challenge, brown bag drawing, classes, trips, raffle quilt, and a show every other year. Visit our website for more information.

    The Cotton Patch Quilters meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Lyndon House Art Center on Hoyt Street. We have nearly 100 members, and offer a variety of bees so members can learn new techniques. Our civic service projects include making small quilts for Project Safe and some local senior centers.     Sew Perfect Quilters of Georgialina. We have under 30 members with no dues. We meet at 10am on the first Thursday of the month at the Lumpkin Road Baptist Church.     Pieceful Mountain Quilters is located in the North Georgia mountains of Blue Ridge.     Cherokee Crazy Quilters Guild meets every Wednesday from 10:00 until 2:30 or whenever at the Airport Fire Station Community room (three miles east of Walmart on Route 5 - Ballground Highway). A "country guild" filled with women who like each other, we do charity quilts for the Battered Women's Shelter and sit and sew each Wednesday. Business meetings are the 4th Wednesday of each month.     The Golden Stitches Quilter's Guild was established January 2001 and has approximately 25 members who pay $20 a year in dues.     Heart-in-Hand Quilt Guild. We have 32 members who pay $30 a year in dues. We meet at 6:30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month at the Bowen Center for the Arts (old rock school)in Dawsonville. We meet at 6:30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month at the Bowen Center for the Arts. We also have a work day on the Saturday of the week following our business meeting.  We make quilts for various charities, and community art events and have a quilt show each year.

    The Brown Sugar Stitchers are a dynamic group of African American Quilters in the metropolitan Atlanta area. The group was formed in Fall 2000 through the efforts of Nancy Franklin and Jocelyn Carter, as a means to cultivate the expression of this historic craft. We participate in community service projects such as donation quilts for children in long term care at the Carrie Steele-Pitts Home for Children, Inc. in northwest Atlanta. At our monthly meetings we feature speakers, "mini-classes," Block-of-the-Month and fellowship after the business meeting. The group meets on the Third Saturday morning of every month at 10:00 AM at the Wesley Chapel-William C. Brown Library in DeKalb County, located at 2861 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur, GA 30034. Anyone with an interest in African American quilting and needlework combined with sisterly fellowship is cordially invited to attend.
