South Dakota Quilters Guild.
The SDQG meets once a year in April at a central location in the state. The retreat consists of classes, vendors, demonstrations, Make It and Take It projects, programs, and sew on your own. At the retreat the members work together on a charity quilt and other charity projects. The retreat starts on Friday at 12:00 CST and ends Sunday at noon. Aberdeen
Aberdeen Quilt Guild: Betty A. Dobberpuhl, 810 8th Ave SE, Aberdeen SD 57401-6303; (605) 229- 1055; Meets 3rd Thursday, 1:30 pm, Aberdeen Arts & Recreation Center. Quilt Show & Quilt Challenge; furnish doll quilts for Salvation Army. Dress-A-Doll Project at Christmas; participate in Andover Threshing Show; yearly raffle quilt.

Candlelight Quilt Guild. We have about 20 members who pay $10 a year in dues. We meet at 7pm on the fourth Thursday of the month at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, and the second Thursday at 5:30 pm for sewing at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Aberdeen. We have a fat chance monthly drawing, provide baby quilts to the local hospital and work with the Aberdeen Area Guild to do a show every other year. Peggy Hallstrom phallstrom@abe.midco.net

Brandon
Half-Fast Quilters is a new group (Jan. 2004) who meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except December) at 6:30 p.m. at Bethany Meadows, 3008 E Aspen Blvd. Dues are $12 a year. Brookings
Brookings Area Quilt Guild. We have about 85 members who pay $10 a year in dues. We meet at 7pm on the third Monday of the month at the Brookings Swiftel Center, 824 32nd Ave. & 6th Str., Brookings. We have monthly education demos, show-n-tell, block of the month projects, secret sister, classes and trips, are involved in various charity programs including Bolt to Bed, a entry for Evening for the Arts in Brookings, and provide quilts to be raffled to other organizations. Buffalo
Prairie Points Quilt Guild. Yearly membership dues: $15.00. Meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the month at 3:30 at the Grand River Lutheran Church basement. Burke
Rosebud Quilt Guild. Meets last Tuesday of every month in the Burke Community Room, 7:30pm. Quilt show every other year in the odd years.

Canton
Prairie Threads Quilt Guild. We meet the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. We are about 20 strong and growing. No dues. We meet in the classroom at Canton Senior Citizen Center, Canton SD for more info contact dj27193@gmail.com

Custer
Custer Piecemakers Quilt Guild
We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 1:30PM at Custer Lutheran Fellowship church, 3.5 miles east of Custer, 12622 US Highway 16A Custer, SD 57730. We host an annual quilt show, raffle a group made quilt to raise funds, make comfort quilts for those in need, and donate Quilts of Valor to Operation Black Hills Cabin. Dell Rappids
The Common Threads Quilt Guild meets the second Wed. of each month at 7:00 at Orchard Hills. We have secret sister, fat quarter exchange, friendship committee, door prize, show & tell, program and special projects each year. We are just completing a round robin. Our quilt show is each year at the Museum during Quarry Days at the end of June.

Dupree

Hill City
Heart of the Hills Quilters. We have about 20 members who pay $10 a year in dues. We meet at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at Super 8, 3rd Floor conference room. Hot Springs
Minnekahta Quilters’ Guild, Meets 2nd Thursday, 7:00 p.m., State Veterans Home Auditorium Quilt show and raffle during Hot Springs’ Christmas in the Hills first week-end of December

Huron
South Dakota Quilters’ Guild has moved locations to the SD Crossroads Motel. We have 250 members from across the state. Dues $20 per year. Spring and fall retreats. Classes, vendors, trunk shows, quilt show in odd numbered years, fun. We have 240 members who pay $20.00 per year and receive 4 newsletters about current issues. We meet each April and September of every year. Spring retreats have a multitude of classes, vendors, and trunk shows. Every other fall is our state quilt show, and the other every other fall is a retreat with classes, vendors and trunk shows. Contact: Deb Ellsworth mamalucky@lycos.com for more information.

Huron Area Quilt Guild
The HAQG meets the first and third Saturdays  of each month except December at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 688 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350. We gather at 10:00 for a meeting followed by show and tell, a program, lunch and sewing. Dues are $20.00 each year. The first Saturday we sew on our own and the third Saturday we sew Quilts of Valor, charity quilts, and quilts for the first baby born of each month. Mitchell
Heartland Quilt Guild We have about 50 members who pay $12.00 a year in dues. We meet at 1:00 pm on the first Saturday of the month at the Mitchell Public Library, 211 North Duff St, Mitchell SD. We are a Quilts of Valor guild and also support the community by making many quilts to support individuals and community agencies. We host a bus trip every other year. We also host a Quilt Show every other year and as a part of that show we create a raffle quilt to benefit charities. We have classes or speakers at our monthly meetings as well. Pierre
Stately Stitchers Quilt Guild. Meets second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the basement of Lutheran Memorial Church, 320 E. Prospect, Pierre. We have about 50 members. Meetings include show and share, door prizes, programs, and a short business meeting. Our goal is to have fun and share the art of quilting. We do several charity quilts each year, a Bank West quilt show every other year, have secret quilting pals, and are planning new things all the time.

Presho
Sew What Quilters, We are a small guild with members from Presho, Reliance, Kennebec, and Vivian. We usually meet on the first Saturday of each month at the American Lutheran Church in Presho at 9:00 with a business meeting followed by a lunch and workshop. Dues are $10. In 2009 we plan on having a trunk show and Mothers’ dessert tea on May 2nd, and a Patriotic July workshop where we will make quilts for injured soldiers along with a couple of trips as a group. altacope@yahoo.com

Rapid City
Black Hills Quilters Guild
We have a weekly gathering on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to noon. This is a time to get acquainted, learn new techniques, exchange ideas, work on individual projects, and enjoy viewing the work of others during Show and Tell. Guild Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month and feature a speaker or special program. Meetings alternate between afternoon and evening to allow everyone to attend. These meetings are held at Faith Lutheran Church, 17 Indiana Street, Rapid City, SD.
We currently have 280 members and love to see guests show up. We have a quilt show every year, usually the first week of June with around 400 quilts showing. Our individual memberships are $20 per year. We have a sewing retreat, SOYO, trips, and special interest groups. Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls Quilters Guild has 175 members who pay $15 per year in dues. We meet at 6:45 pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Southern Hills United Methodist Church, 3400 E. 49th St., Sioux Falls, SD. Sisseton
Coteau Prairies Quilt Guild meets on the second Saturday of each month at members’ homes in the Sisseton Area. Time 9:30 a.m. September thru June. We have quilt shows at our local Farm & Home Show, and do local activities in the area.

Spearfish/Belle Fourche
Northern Hill Quilter’s Guild. We have 50 members who pay $10 a year. We meet each Friday at 10 a.m. on the 1st/2nd Fridays of the month meetings are at First Interstate Bank in Belle Fourche. The 3rd/4th Fridays will be in Spearfish at the Senior Citizen Center. We have swaps, classes, trips, and 3rd Friday activities. Contact: Roberta Koehler gkoehills@yahoo.com

Wall
Badlands Quilters Meets 2nd and 4th week of every month Lesa Stephens President Hosts the Badlands Quilt show in March of every year with nationally known instructors.

Watertown
Magic Needlers Quilt Guild. Membership dues are $15.00 year with 35 members. We meet the first Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the basement of the City Auditorium, 125 S. Broadway. Webster.
Glacial Lakes Piecemakers. We have about 15 members who pay $3 per meeting. We meet at 1pm on the 3rd Saturday at the Day County Arts building on Main St. We work on our own projects or charity quilts for Sew Special, Project Linus and our local hospital. We often have sew and tell, demos, group projects, raffle quilts, classes and trips. Our quilt show is in conjunction with Pumpkin Fest the second Saturday in October. Winner
Centennial Quilt Guild of Winner, SD. We meet on the second Saturday, of each month except June, July, and August. We have classes in the morning and a meeting in the afternoon with a show and tell. We have a Quilt Show every other year and a spring retreat at a hunting lodge where we sew for two days. We donate a quilt to cancer walk each year and make lap robes for the nursing home. Yankton
Dakota Prairie Quilters’ Guild: Joyce Brunken, 1603 John St, Yankton, SD 57078 (605) 665- 8821 (home), (605) 668-5275 Meets 4th Monday, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Yankton Community Library Two “all-nighters”/year. Annual special project, in Œ96, it was 4-1/2” block exchanges, a fabric challenge.
