South Dakota Quilters Guild.  We have 225 members who meet 2 times a year   at the Crossroads Convention Center in Huron, South Dakota, one week-end in April and September (dates vary). Quilt Show in September of odd-numbered years. Each show features 250 - 300 quilts and other quilted items, Quilters' Challenge, Featured Quilter, vendors, quilt raffle, demonstrations; show preview "for members only" Friday evening before Saturday show. Non-show meetings have classes, block exchange, business luncheon, informal Friday evening quilt-together, Show and Tell.

    Candlelight Quilt Guild. We have about 20 members who pay $10 a year in dues. We meet at 7pm on the fourth Thursday of the month at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, and the second Thursday at 5:30 pm for sewing at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Aberdeen. We have a fat chance monthly drawing, provide baby quilts to the local hospital and work with the Aberdeen Area Guild to do a show every other year.  Peggy Hallstrom phallstrom@abe.midco.net

    Half-Fast Quilters is a new group (Jan. 2004) who meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except December) at 6:30 p.m. at Bethany Meadows, 3008 E Aspen Blvd. Dues are $12 a year.     Brookings Area Quilt Guild. We have about 85 members who pay $10 a year in dues. We meet at 7pm on the third Monday of the month at the Brookings Swiftel Center, 824 32nd Ave. & 6th Str., Brookings. We have monthly education demos, show-n-tell, block of the month projects, secret sister, classes and trips, are involved in various charity programs including Bolt to Bed, a entry for Evening for the Arts in Brookings, and provide quilts to be raffled to other organizations.     Prairie Points Quilt Guild. Membership Dues are $15.00 a year. Meeting are on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm at the Rec Center. Activities include: quilted gift exchanges, classes and demonstrations, show and tell, Memorial Day Quilt Show Raffle, and community service projects.     Rosebud Quilt Guild. Meets last Tuesday of every month in the Burke Community Room, 7:30pm. Quilt show every other year in the odd years.

    The Common Threads Quilt Guild meets the second Wed. of each month at 7:00 at Orchard Hills. We have secret sister, fat quarter exchange, friendship committee, door prize, show & tell, program and special projects each year. We are just completing a round robin. Our quilt show is each year at the Museum during Quarry Days at the end of June.

    Heart of the Hills Quilters. We have about 20 members who pay $10 a year in dues. We meet at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at Super 8, 3rd Floor conference room.     Minnekahta Quilters' Guild, Meets 2nd Thursday, 7:00 p.m., State Veterans Home Auditorium Quilt show and raffle during Hot Springs' Christmas in the Hills first week-end of December

  • Huron
    HSouth Dakota Quilters' Guild has moved locations to the SD CrossRoads Motel. We have 250 members from across the state. Dues $20 per year. Spring and fall retreats. Classes, vendors, trunk shows, quilt show in odd numbered years, fun. We have 240 members who pay $20.00 per year and receive 4 newsletters about current issues. We meet each April and September of every year. Upcoming dates are Sept. 22-24, 2006, Apr. 13-15, 2007, Sept. 14-16, 2007. Spring retreats have a multitude of classes, vendors, and trunk shows.     Madison. Prairie Piecemakers. We now have over 45 members who pay only $10 a year in dues. We meet at 7pm on the fourth Thursday of the month at Prairieview Apt, #2, on SW 8th Street, in the back meeting room. We have a block of the month, fat quarter swap, secret sister, classes and trips, guest speakers and programs.  Guests are always welcome.
  • Mitchell
    Mitchell. Heartland Quilter's Guild. We are a growing guild with approximately 40 members who pay $12 a year in dues. We meet the first Saturday of each month at the Mitchell Public Library Community Room, 231 North Duff Street in Mitchell. Join us at 10:00 AM for sewing and fellowship and at 1:30 PM for the business meeting and educational session. We have a lot of fun with sew and tell, fabric and block exchanges, workshops, retreats and bus trips. We showcase our creations every other year by hosting a quilt show. We support different organizations in our community by donating items or creating raffle quilts for their fundraisers. We also create a baby quilt each year for the first baby born in Mitchell.     Stately Stitchers Quilt Guild. Meets second Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the basement of Lutheran Memorial Church, 320 E. Prospect, Pierre. We have about 50 members. Meetings includes show and share, door prizes, programs and a short business meeting. Our goal is to have fun and share the art of quilting. We do several charity quilts each year, a Bank West quilt show every other year, have secret quilting pals, and are planning new things all the time.

    Sew What Quilters, We are a small guild with members coming to Presho from Reliance, Kennebec, and Vivian. We meet one Saturday a month for our meeting and a workshop.  Alta Copeland copeland@wcenet.com
  • Rapid City
    Black Hills Quilters Guild of l80 members meet the third Monday of each month at l:00 pm in odd numbered months and 7:00 pm in even numbered months at Faith Lutheran Church, 17 Indiana Street. Dues at $15.00 each year and we have a three day quilt show the 2nd weekend in June, a 3 day retreat with nationally known teachers each fall, along with other workshops, projects and programs. We make more than 300 quilts each year that are given to people in need locally. We also meet each Tuesday morning to work on our own projects and to get acquainted at the above location as well as each Tuesday evening at the Journey Museum for the same purpose.     Highland Stitchers Quilt Guild. We have about 9 members who pay $1 a meeting in dues. We meet at 7PM on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Library.     Coteau Praries Quilt Guild meets the second Saturday of each month at member's homes in the Sisseton Area. Time 9:30 a.m. September thru June. We have quilt shows at our local Farm & Home show, and do local activities in the area.

    Badlands Quilters Meets 2nd and 4th week of every month Lesa Stephens President Hosts the Badlands Quiltshow in March of every year with nationally known instructors.
  • Watertown 
    Magic Needlers Quilters Guild. We meet the first Sat. of the month at 9:30 am at Rising Star Quilts, 201 E. Kemp Ave. Annual spring workshop, various group projects. Quilt show every October.
  • Webster
    Glacial Lakes Piecemakers. We have about 15 members who pay $3 per meeting. We meet at 1pm on the 3rd Saturday at the Day County Arts building on Main St. We work on our own projects or charity quilts for Sew Special, Project Linus and our local hospital. We often have sew and tell, demos, group projects, raffle quilts, classes and trips. Our quilt show is in conjuction with Pumpkin Fest the second Saturday in October.     The Centennial Quilt Guild has about 45 members who pay $3.00 for a years membership. We put out a newsletter quarterly. We host a quilt show every other year on even numbered years with a featured quilter and a raffle quilt to be given away we have a country store and demonstrations. We meet the second Saturday of every month. At the Tripp Co. meeting room or the E Free Church in Winner, SD. We have classes every month and in May a Quilters Tea. Contact Sec.
